    Exporting mesh to hold weapon

    I'm not sure if this should go under the coding forum or this one, but it seems more modeling related, so I hope someone can answer this question

    When I export my mesh that replaces the default player model, I have no problems getting the character to show up, however he doesn't seem to have anything in his hands.
    SkeletalMesh=SkeletalMesh'MyPackage.Twigman'

    When I switch out the mesh with the IronGuard_MaleA character, the weapon appears.
    SkeletalMesh=SkeletalMesh'CH_IronGuard_Male.Mesh.S K_CH_IronGuard_MaleA'

    Am I exporting the model incorrectly? I'm using 3dStudio max and I'm placing the new mesh over the UT3_Male.max file. I use the skin modifier and I add all the b_ bones except for the IK ones. Screenshots of in game display below, pardon my crappy untextured boxy model I made as a test.

    Have you setup sockets? If not, the weapon may be appearing inside the character.
