    Modeling skirt/kilt - suggestions

    Hi there!

    I'm modeling a character (a policeman) and it's those uniforms that below the belt is like a kilt covering part of the legs. My question: what would be the best approach to model this? solid? just an open sheet of polygons?

    If I'm not expressing myself clearly I can arrange some images to illustrate

    What are you using it for? If you are going to apply physics it would probably be a good idea to model it with a "thickness" (for lack of better terminology). I don't know how a sheet of polys would translate when rag-dolling and a solid kilt might look weird.
