Failed to import textures. Invalid File name

I downloaded a package of textures from an author, and when I go to import them I get the following message from UDK:

"Import failed for metalTextures.Metal_Textures 01: Name containts an invalid character : [ ]"

I can't understand why the [ ] is in there though, as I haven't typed anything in that looks remotely close to that.

Have any of you run into this issue before?

I think that may have been it. I changed the file name to MetalTextures01

However, when I go to import it now, it just reads "Import Failed."

Ahhhhhh . I'll figure it out sooner or later.

what are the dimensions of the image? they would need to be a powers of 2 eg 128x128, 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024, 2048x2048 etc...

          I got it!

I was clicking on the "import" icon in the bottom left corner of the content browser, when I should have been selecting the image of the folder next to it instead. After trying that I was able to successfully get it in. Thank you guys.
