Baking textures in 3ds max 2010

Hi, im pretty new to all this but im slowly getting it. ive got a model made in 3ds but when i import it to udk the textures are missing. Can someone tell me how to bake the textures into the model so it shows in udk? Thanks

Not sure you can, you'll have to import the textures and make a material from them, then apply that material to your mesh.

also make sure your textures are UV mapped properly before baking or they wont look right in UDK. I.E: stretching and warping at the seams.
