    Help With Trees

Hello there, I'm trying to make a game using the UDK, which with any luck will help me to break into the industry, so I've been trying to start with level creation, but the issue is that when I import the trees, the leaves are messed up and are boxes, how might I fix this? Thanks to those who reply in advance.

I guess because they have no texture/material?

      Maybe

I apply the texture in the editor, but they still look blocky... Is there something I might be missing?

Have you applied a material in the speedtree modeler? And what exactly do you mean by blocky?

I rarely uesd sppedtree but i think you might want to check the number of leaves.

Providing a screenshot of your issue might help others to understand your problem, or what might be causing it

I guess that you didn't aplied alpha...

              1. Create tree in SpeedTree modeller
              2. Export it (with textures)
              3. Import tree to UDK
              4. Import all textures
              5. Create materials and add textures for them.
5a. Apply RGB chanell into Diffuse and Alpha chanell into opacity.
5b. Change blending mode of material to "Transclucent"
              5c. Save material
              6. Apply all materials to the tree.

              Everything should works fine.

Yes that is a good question.

And when you folks need some help with your problem, please explain in details what is your problem, what you want create, what method you are using to do it. Most of time it is harder to guess what asking person is doing than give clues how to make desired effect.
