Biped Animation in 3DS Max Help

    Hello all,
I'm animating a Alien creature in 3ds Max, and I've created a biped that fits it's shape. When I create footsteps and then add the physique modifier I select the node of the pelvis of the of the Biped and initialize.

Then when I play the animation, the Alien follows the biped but just hobbles along without actually animating- kind of like a rigid action figure.

Any idea why this is happening? Thanks so much!

So.. I ended up discovering the answer to my own question, (I moved the biped away from the Alien.)

Now that I've gotten this to work, I found this process was really taxing on my computer. Simply getting this thing to move was very slow and laggy. Is this because the Alien is too high poly?

      poly count

To Answer that we would have to know the poly count on your alien. If you have more than a couple thousand it could make it slow down but it could and probably is your 3d render settings in max.
