Modulate Light brightness by sound volume

    Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to modulate a light's brightness, using a sound file. As in, the volume at any point of a specific sound, that is playing affects the brightness of that light.
Could it be done with a light function of some sort, or is it not feasibly possible?

    Thanks!

maybe if you find a way to convert sound waves

into some sort of texture, and use it in light function with panner.

but you can use max texture 4096*4096, so it will be limited in time.
also you can't start or stop that.

another way - use movie texture in light function and start/stop it by kismet.

oh... no, you can start/stop panner by set it's time to 0 or >0 in material instance

Hm, thanks, I was thinking something like that may work. Just a grayscale, black for minimum and white for maximum volume. It would be interesting to see how that could works, even if it's not simple enough to use in the actual project.
