    RAM, not graphics memory. It has to load the whole map into memory when it renders the lighting, if you have a lot of stuff or a very big map (basically, your map needs a lot of lightmaps) then it can easily run out of memory.

    im getting error when im trying to build lighting for my map
    my map looks like this

    and i placed some speedtrees
