Geometry angle problem [SOLVED]

I leftclick on my build brush and activate geometry mode.

When I try to enlarge my ground with geometry mode and thus click on the edges of what i want to enlarge,
it only draws in diagonal lines.

What I want is to enlarge the area without changing any angles.. how can I do that?

Sorry I'm kind of new to this.. how does this help me?

When I open the geometry tools and click on the edge of my brush, it only shows me the different diagonal extentions. Not the vertikal ones.
Is there like a propertie where you have to change it first?

Problem solved - Somehow I had "Local" turned on, as I tried to use the geometry tool. Toggle on World instead and the angle issues are gone.
