I need the enemy to be Gabe Newell. I wanted to just use a picture as the enemy but that seems to be even harder than a 3d model. Is ti possible to take a gmod model?

You want a 2d image to be a 3d model?????
mental....
but how about make the model a simple 1 sided plane......then just make the material the image (texture) of Gabe Newell (I'm not even going to ask...). Bob's your creepy uncle, a 3d model that acts like a 2d image....
EDIT:
I should probably point out that obviously this will look weird when you or the enemy rotates so I guess you'd have to force the enemies rotation to constantly be facing the player.

It's a bit to much for me to explain the import process you'd be better off looking at the UDN web pages. You'd probably get away with just a static mesh if you just wanted a flat plane, once you've imported the model just set up a material with whatever image you wanted and assign the material to the mesh.
