Lighting bake with Dominantdirectional light movable (day/night cyle)

    Hi All,

Just a quick one - is there a best practice for baking a scene where the 'sun' light is allways moving (as in a day/night cycle)?

I have a DominantdirectionalLightMovable and an ambient point light, and for now I'm baking with the main light off and the ambient point turned up so its a non-time specific bake, but not too happy with it.

    Thanks,

Dynamic lighting in UDK sucks, and you can't bake it if it's always changing

Yeah, I'm getting that impression ;p

But if you dont build the lighting you constantly get the 'light needs rebuilding' warning. Anyone know a good way to handle it?

      Cheers

You will build the lighting but not bake it. Just enable Force No Precomputed Lighting in the world properties and then build the lighting.
