Is there a way to fix these Shadows? (Help needed)

    Hello!

Recently i have been planning to make a project, mainly to do with lighting. The only problem is, i have forgotten how to make my light build, the same as how it looks in the editor. Could someone please remind me on how to do so. I would like my lighting when the level is played, to look as the following preview, in the editor. Only problem is, when i build the lighting (Production Lighting) It does not turn out to how it actually looked in the editor.

up at the top, you need to build your lighting

If it looks like ****, can be a few reasons---1: No lightmap UV's 2: your lightmap UV's suck 3: lightmap resolution is too low (default is 32, much too low for most anything)

In addition to what darthviper said, how does the geometry look like? You can get some weird results like that if the mesh is a one sided plane or if you have open edges for example.

There are loads of Youtube tutorials about 2nd UV channels.... but here is one of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoLXkTReBns If you use baked lighting and not fully dynamic lighting you should always do this!
