    Adaptation of sight in darkness

    Hi.
    How? That is the question.

    I tried 2 methods:
    1 Postprocess.
    I created certain illumination, darkened it by postprocess, and further changed parameters in a postprocess for adaptation effect.
    Looks weird. also required smooth transitions of postprocess parameters, so, needs additional programming.

    2 Light source.
    Simple point light movable attached to player.
    Looks good, but one problem - it creates specular highlights on objects.


    UDK don't provide sources of shaders, so I can't create more "ambient" light. And I don't want disable specular on my environment.

    Any other good ideas?
