    It uses aLookUp and follows the mouse nicely.

  • 2D sidescroller aiming system for the latest version?

    Alright... So I'm working on a 2D sidescroller. However, I cannot get the player to aim at the mouse. I do have an aiming sytem however that is effected by mouse movements, but its not exactly what I want.

    I need the player to aim directly at the mouse cursor, wherever it is on the screen, and if the cursor is behind him, I need him to be able to turn around to aim at it. I tried a bunch of tutorials, but apparently they're built for older versions of UDK, so there's always some sort of crazy camera error, or aiming glitch... I've tried the 2D platformer starter kit, but its the same thing... Ugghh just terrible...

    So my question is, does anybody have a solution for a 2D sidescroller aiming system, where the player always aims at the mouse, wherever it is on the screen? If anyone's played the 2D halo game, or "Abuse", thats exactly what I'm trying to achieve. Or if not, can someone give me some practical way to find the mouse coordinates, and use them in my 2D game?
