    World properties are lost when packaging the game

    Hi there!

    I have a problem with my World Properties configuration. I've set some stuff on it (Blur, DOF, etc.) and it works when playing the game in the editor. However, when I build the distribuition package with Unreal Frontend this configuration is lost as I install and play the installed game.

    What do I need to do to keep my configuration on the packaged game?

    Thanks!

    Did anyone experience the same issue? Any idea?

      I may be having a similar issue in which gametype isn't retained when packaged.

        Try setting your game type in your DefaultEngine.ini file:

        Code:
        [Engine.ScriptPackages]
        +NonNativePackages=UTGame
        +NonNativePackages=UTGameContent
        +NonNativePackages=YourGameType

          you need to set the properties in the default ini files or in the base ini files

          might be an idea to create a copy of them before you do any changes

            Ok but... what properties and in what files? Where can I find any info regarding the required configuration?

              ok try this, its all covered in my UDK Basics videos

              defaultengine.ini
              Code:
              [UnrealEd.EditorEngine]
              +EditPackages=UTGame
              +EditPackages=UTGameContent
              +EditPackages=UT40k
              defaultgame.ini
              Code:
              [Engine.GameInfo]
              DefaultGame=UT40k.UT40kDeathmatch
              DefaultServerGame=UT40k.UT40kDeathmatch
              PlayerControllerClassName=UT40k.UT40kPlayerController
              GameDifficulty=+1.0
              MaxPlayers=32
              DefaultGameType="UT40k.UT40kDeathmatch";
              +DefaultMapPrefixes=(Prefix="UT40kDM",bUsesCommonPackage=FALSE,GameType="UT40k.UT40kDeathmatch")
              +DefaultMapPrefixes=(Prefix="UT40kTDM",bUsesCommonPackage=FALSE,GameType="UT40k.UT40kTeamGame")
              +DefaultMapPrefixes=(Prefix="UT40kWF",bUsesCommonPackage=FALSE,GameType="UT40k.UT40KWarfare")
              you can also have a look through DefaultSystemSettings.ini which is new to udk build 07/2012
