how to make a material with glow edges ?

hi, i'm wondering if there is a way to make a material with glow edges or i need to make a simple material and use a vfx to make the glow, the effect that i want to create is show ont his clip, please jump to the 1:02 to see the effect

You may want to look into cascade if you haven't already, and look in example materials other developers have conjured.
I'm primarily a programmer, so I can't help you that much.
