    Custom Particle System in Photoshop?

Is it possible to create a custom particle system in photoshop, using the animation timeline? I'm sorry, i'm new to this, I think you're suppose to use the Material Editor that uses the kismet language, but I don't know how.

No, you cannot create a particle system in photoshop to use in UDK.

Particle systems are made with Unreal Cascade in UDK.

Yo create the texture for your particle system in PS but like Graylord said the bulk of the work is done with Cascade.
This is a great video for getting an understanding of particle systems

Yea, just create all your graphical work in PS, then pull it across into UDK. I've created a few cool particle systems like this, such as translucent rising bubbles for an underwater level, flowing red blood cells, smoke, fountains of blood etc. You can make some really good ones (on the PS side of things) if you work with opacity masks, and some PS brushes you can freely download are perfectly suited to this!

I'm not sure if "normal" and "specular" maps work in particle systems, but I always include them anyway lol.
