Terrain Editing

I'm new to udk and just starting with game creation. I have figured out a good amount from tutorials but I'm stumped on the terrain. I can’t add more than two materials because I can't re add a material.
(example)
I add a grass texture then a dirt but after that I can't add the grass again. What could be the problem? Am I missing somthing?

Not sure what you mean but why would you add the same material twice anyway?
If you talk about the painting, erase your dirt material (rmb+ctrl) and the grass should re-appear.

Yeah, i think its painting, if I go over with the dirt then if i want to go back over with the grass it dosn't work. Is that what you said? If so all i have to do is erase the dirt and the grass will be under it?
