    Rain for a large open world

    How would one go about creating rain for a large open world where you play as a bird? i tried attaching a particle system above the players head but the player moves so fast that the particles start spawning behind him after he moves a certain distance. I would love to the plane method where you place planes but since the world is so big, this would be a huge pain. I am looking for a cheap fast way of doing this

    The solution has been staring in front of you all the time. Create a mesh with 10 or more panes and attach it to the player in kismet as some dynamic mesh. No spherical particle effect and no placing 1000s of planes.
