    Using WorldDisplacement in material editor

    Hello,

    i am trying to achieve a sinus wave material effect. But i have some problems with the WorldDisplacement in the material editor. I don't understand how this parameter works.
    For example I plugged a normal map into it, but nothing happend.

    So i tried it with a vector and if i use one like (0,0,1000) the plane lifts up. But how can i do it that the plane behaves like a sinus wave?
