    Excluding player from realtime reflections

    Hi everyone, I have just learnt how to do realtime reflections but is there any way to exclude certain objects(like the player) from being reflected?

      There's a couple of methods for doing that. So depends on which one you've used.

      But I think i will be difficult without doing a faked reflection.

          I don't think it will be possible. I can only think of creating a dynamic opacity mask and doing some heavy renderpass trickery, which just isnt possible with a simple material, as you cannot layer camera renders.

          There might be a different way that works, but I can't think of any. But I am by no means the expert on this.

            what if I could modify the player material to something like a fully transparent one. will that work?

              Well yes. If the player is invisible, he will be invisible in the reflection as well. I was assuming you were playing in third person (meaning you want to show the character), since in first person doesn't actually use a mesh.
