    roads and trains ?

    hey every one.
    i was googleling and then i found this for the source engine http://www.worldofleveldesign.com/ca...oped-roads.php and was wondering if that is puasable in the UDK to make roads like that and allso i have a other question
    can you make a train go down a set of tracks and if jes how difficult is it ?

    There is a bunch of tutorial about making road in 3d for example and than export them along with the mapping coords and collision... Of course you can try to make the road in the UDK itself but as we all know its modelling features are very very basic ...

    2nd question, You could fight with that on Matinee but I guess it would be a way easier and faster to model the entire animation in 3dmax and then export it to udk. Unless you want this animation to be interactive with the user... but in that case you still could probably mix a set of different animations and then manage them in UDK using anim track in Matinee.

    check for example this link http://whalebranch.blogspot.com/2011...ts-in-udk.html

    And resuming your post... everything is possible to do, it's only the matter of time you are going to dedicate to...

        That was just an example I guess you can use blender too for that, but as long as I know there is a free student version of any autodesk product, go to their webpage and check If you still belong ... Or maybe someone from your family etc

        Check that -> http://udkc.info/index.php?title=Tut...evelopment_Kit
