    attach particle emitter to player

    Hi All,

    I'm trying to attach a particle emitter to a player. I found an example a while ago that suggested I do this:



    where the ??? is the particle emitter but it doesn't seem to be working. Is there something obvious i am missing or even a better way to do it in the UDK now?

    Shouldn't "Target" be "Player" (not "Player 0")?

      hmm... cant see an option to set it 'player'. I can only tick the check-box for 'All players' or add a player id. As there is only one player in the level I thought 'player 0' would do. Checking 'all players' does help either...

        Hmm... What if you made a blank Actor variable (the purple ??? one) and tied it to both the Instigator (of the Player Spawned) and Target (of the Attach to Actor) connections?

          the variable with the ??? should say emitter,so i imagine you did not have the emitter selected when you created the variable.select it in the level then right click the ??? and select assign emitter to object variable.
