    Animated Textures

    hey guys, im trying to import my water texture thats animated and ive seen some flipbook tutorials, but i have no idea how to get all my frames onto one sheet evenly...

    sorry not sure with your question , i know in cascade there is option to sort it out.when doing smoke etc. was on a buzz3d tut for cascade.

    random question to anyone can you play bik or gif files as textures/materials ?

      You'll have to do it with the panner/rotater nodes in the mat editor. I don't know of any other way to do an animated texture.

        For a water texture your not going to want to use a flipbook, your going to want to use a panner in the material. My suggest would be to create a tileable water texture and pan it.

        To do this ;
        Create a new material
        Add a Texture Sample Node and a Panner Node
        Connect the Panner Node into the UV input of the Texture Sample
        Then play with the settings til you get something that works.
        Water can be tricky to make look good search for some tutorials, I believe Hourence had one on his site.
