Double check that you've saved the package containing the static mesh. Otherwise make sure under the 'View->Show' menu for that particular viewport has static meshes checked. Alt+W is the shortcut to do that.

hey i have an annoying problem, when i use the foliage editor and place grass in my level, when the 'G' gameplay view is not on and in editor the grass shows up but when the G is selected, my grass dissappears !!!! so annoying and i havent a clue why its doing it, anyone plz help with this
