    Controlling terrain layers

I've set up a few layers and I want to paint on top of another layer, but the order of the layers doesn't allow me to. As you might know, layers on the bottom of the list will always paint on top.

Currently I have to Ctrl+rightclick to remove the material from the layer on top before I can paint a layer from higher up the list. This is pretty tedious.

It would be easier if I could just paint materials wherever I wanted them, regardless of the layer order. Is there any way to do this?

    Thanks
