    Lightmaps/Bad mesh shadows

    Hey i started to experiment with some sci-fi stuff just in my free time and i have a big problem.

    If i rebuild the lighting and everything, i have a importance volume in the map but i get these ugly shadows.

    I don't understand why this is happening and how i can get rid of it.

    Can any one help me?

    I use maya 2011, i made several lightmaps in maya, and also in udk itself but no succes.

    Looks to me like one UV island is oriented incorrectly.

      Errr im not really into 3d modeling i know the basics and that but could you perhaps explain it a bit more for a basics 3d modeler like myself? :P
