Attaching Particles to Moving Objects.

Hi guys,

I am trying to attach some smoke to a car, I can make the car move but I cannot attach the smoke.

To attach an effect to an object, what does the object have to be? (Mover, InterpActor, SkeletalMeshActor)
Does it matter?

Any suggestions please?

You're trying to attach the skeletal mesh actor to itself (you locked that property window to the emitter but then closed it - the new window isn't locked)

OK, so, do not close the particle properties.
You do not set the attachment to the moving object, you set the moving object to the particle.

1. Select particle.
2. Open properties (F4)
3. Lock
4. Click on the moving object (do not close anything)
5. In the properties it should still be the particle properties, not the object properties.
6. Click green button on attach - base.
