    Navigation Mesh problem

    I've read the following tutorial about how to manually create navmesh from static mesh http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/NavMe...lCreation.html. The problem is that I don't know how to make walls "red" (just like they should be (e.g. attached image)).

    I don't think you're supposed to model the "walls" of the navmesh. Just the floor area where you want them to move around.

        Because it's the only way it works. The auto-generated navmesh has some idiot edges and my FindNavMeshPath function isn't able to find the player.

          unfortunately "convert to NavMesh" option, used on static mesh will generate only the green surfaces. I think it would be good idea to implement option like "convert to NavMeshObstacle" so crowds/bots could avoid red surfaces. However you cant do that without Unreal source code...

          Another way for you to create 'better' looking NevMesh is to use NavMeshExpansion volumes and modify NavMesh generation parameters in UDKScout class.
