Hi, I am completely new to making materials and such for UDK and I want to make a Sand material to use to make a beach scene. All I did to make the sand was Google sand and grab a picture and put it into Photoshop and save it as a targa file then boot up UDK and plug it into the diffuse. I am positive there is more to making materials then that. I will post a screenshot of how it comes up. Does anyone know how I can make it one consistent material and not have a bunch of squares? Also I would appreciate it if someone could help me learn more about materials by offering me links to some tutorials or something.
