    UDK Bug?

I have a bit of a problem with UDK. I followed this tutorial here: http://forecourse.com/2010/09/day-an...ycle-tutorial/ (video version)
exactly how he did it in the video. So I watched this video to about 0:52:22 and then I decided to go to sleep because it was like 3.00 a.m. already. (It took me like 4hrs to create this thing with material editor...) So on the following morning (today) I opened up UDK and then I wanted to open up my material to continue where left off but it was gone. I looked everywhere but it was completely vanished. Then I did a little experiment... I created a new material by right clicking with my mouse and then selecting New Material... Then the material editor came up... I saved everything then closed UDK, opened it up again and my new material was gone as well. Like WTH? Is it a bug or something? Or my material is still there somewhere?

I think I once read that unused content is deleted from your package once you close UnrealEd. This happens to me a lot when I import models but forget to use them, upon opening Ued again unused items are gone. I really think it is a 'feature' of unrealEd

Next time just put your material (working or not) on a brush and save it as a map

Did you fully load the package?

So what is the answer for anyone else who might happen to run into this issue later?
