Help there is no reflection of the leaves

Hello guys,


I'm just starting with udk, I made a jungle type level and I add some trees from the speedtree application, and I also madea reflection in the water, the problem is the leaves are not reflecting in the water, but If I zoom out it slowly reflect. It appears the LOD is in reverse, help from you guys will be much appreciated. many thanks, more power.

Are you using leaf cards or meshes on your Speedtrees?

Leaf cards rotate to the players camera and so can affect reflections, lighting (shadows), etc. Meshes don't rotate and have volume so they work well with shadowing and such.

The "reverse" LOD thing could be a result of the LOD billboards appearing at a distance and allowing the leaves to get reflected in some way.
