I have been working my way through the 3D Buzz tutorials and in the top down game tutorial I'm trying to set up the timer bar. I have set up the Material instance actor exactly as shown, I made sure I had it selected when I added the new group and the two Float Material Param tracks in Matinee. I made sure that I entered the correct name for the scalar parameter. However when I run the game the material params never change, the material starts flashing and stays flashing for the duration of the game. Does anybody know how to fix this or has this functionality simply been removed from UDK since the tutorials where released?
