Making static meshes obey to gravity.

How can I make static meshes "obey" gravity? At the moment the default behaviour is to just float in the air...

That is why they're called "static" meshes, their primary function is to look good and render as fast as possible. You can tick "can become dynamic" inside the static mesh editor, but that won't make them automatically obey gravity, only when they're first influenced by something.

      You'll want to use DynamicSMActors.

Err, sorry, I meant a KActor. Select your static mesh in the content browser, then right-click in the world and select "Add RigidBody" (the static mesh must have a collision model otherwise it won't work).

Note that the object will be "asleep" on level start, and physics will be applied only if you apply some impulse to it. If you want the object to have physics at level start, set its "Awake on Level start" property to true.
