    Multiple Outdoor Areas to create a "Race Track"

    I am trying to create a level that will contain 5 distinct areas:

    1)City
    2)Highway
    3)Dark Forest
    4)Graveyard
    5)Sewer

    Each area must be accessed without a loading screen or transition. The level should function something like a "Race Track".

    Some of the different ideas I have thought of and have used have been two simple 1 terrains set at 96x96 and 48x48. Another bit I was trying out was using 4 16x16 terrains. The 4 terrain maps I found was the nicest but the most difficult to work with. If anyone has a better idea on how this might be accomplished or a different way to design the level. On a side thought would it be simpler to use Maya to design the level and bring it in that way or use UDK.

      So whats wrong with 1 terrain map, that is then either blocked in with some meshes / terrain? As you make your way through the "race track" your really just on the one terrain map, but the scene changes. Meaning you change out static meshes, change up the terrain paint, etc.

      Can set triggers up to swap out the skydome if its a single player game.
