    3D model

How can i convert a 3D model to terrain?

    #2
Well, not sure if UDK has heightmap terrain functionality, but you could try rendering out a heightmap. Or you could just use the model as a terrain, in the form of a static mesh. Beware that if you choose the latter option, you might have to slice it up for performance.

That has nothing to do with it being a terrain or not. You need to setup a collision.

Double clock on te static mesh in the content browser, now the static mesh editor will be brought up. Now, under the tabs, click the one that says collision, then click on the appropriate collision, whether it be auto convex collision or something else.

Now your model will have collision, hope this helps

Don't forget to turn off simple box and simple line collision.

"Don't work" is never a good way to ask for help.

What doesn't work? Are you unable to add a collision? Can you not find out how to add the collision? Is the collision there, but is the player still passing through?
