Shadow problem

I have a rotating fan blade, however it's shadow is appearing on the outside out the vent as shown in the linked screenshot. Any suggestions or ideas on how to prevent this?

Are all of your lights dynamic? Or at least the one casting the light from behind the fan and the ones around the fan? Because that is the problem. I recommend using a movable point light behind the fan and changing it's lightshadow from modulated to normal.
