Using real squadron names
Are you aloud to use real squadron names in games e.g.SWAT or SAS

That is a tricky one, I woundnt know for sure but I do see why not. Best if you ask in general descussion,be sure to check before you do anything, you don't want to end up with copyright infringement.

How's the Australia in Conflict going? -
You don't have to trademark "Army" and I've never seen "Taliban" or "Marines" in a copyright notice. I'm relatively certain S.W.A.T. and SAS are ok to use. The only problem you'll run into is if your game makes them out as a bunch of *******. Represent them right and you won't hear a word if they are protected terms, which I doubt.
You can always try to find it in the trademark registry, it's public.Comment
