    in game sound issue

Since the tutorials are all outdated would someone mind telling me how I can add a .wav file from my computer into my assets so I can use it in my game? Thanks in advance!

You import it like any other asset through the Content Browser. Cick the Import button, find the .wav file, set any properties, and click OK.

You can find some information about sound importing here as well:

Everytime I attempt to import a .wav file it always says "import failed".

I wasn't using a 16 bit rate. After I changed that everything flowed smoothly. Thanks for the page. I tend to not read anymore than I have to... the downside to being a visual learner... The site with free sound effects sounds interesting, would you mind sharing? I have a few, but more can't hurt.
