    What does the camera blocking volume actually do ?

    Hi,

    What does the camera blocking volume in UDK actually do ?

    Thanks.

    when placed, the CameraBlockingvolume opens into a bFairytaleRealm portal. Choose from the dropdown in the portal's bMagicKingdom properties from either MORDOR, Narnia(compatibility mode), Narnia(better), MushroomKingdom(8bit), or OZ

    nb - ensure that the bUseRubySlippers = TRUE if you wish to return.

      You know,that's not funny.
      I asked what the CameraBlockingvolume really does,because it is not documented on UDN.

        Agreed.

        There may be a reason why it is not documented. Where are you seeing this volume? I am not seeing it anywhere in UDK.

          If in doubt about what anything does, try looking at the script:

          // GameCameraBlockingVolume:
          // used to block the camera only (all other types of collision are ignored)

          Who'd have guessed.

          Sarcasm aside, I'll guess that it's for blocking spectatorcams, or perhaps to stop 3rd person cams on pawns/vehicles clipping into stuff you dont want to use a regular blocking volume on. Five seconds experimentation should let you work that out.
