    View frustum distance compensation [pic]

    I have a material whose translucency is based on distance from the camera. When I view it at an angle, the side of the screen is 'closer' than when I turn around to view it directly. This results in the material being more opaque even though I am not any further away or closer to it. How can I compensate for this artificial distance?
