triggering fracture without having to shoot the object

Is it possible to set up a fracture static mesh to blow up using a trigger and some kind of kismet sequence?

You can position a physical impulse next to the fractured SM and trigger it via kismet. That should work fine and give you the results you want.

Sorry to bump an old thread:

Where can I find this "physical impulse"?

      Update: I found it.

Now What I am trying to do is to shatter a fracturestaticmeshactor upon touching a trigger. (Example: you walk into a trigger, and a hanging rock blows up into numerous pieces) I have a RadialImpulseActor next to the FSMA and in kismet, I have set the switch to toggle ON the Impluse actor with no desirable results.

      A. What physics mode does the piece need to be? RigidBody? No Physx?
      B. Am I not triggering the impulse correctly in Kismet?
      C. Do I need to use a PhysXDestructible instead of a FMSA?

      Much thanks!
