    How to make good looking water surface material?

    I just started to learn using UDK material editor and i would like to make good looking water material that would be with waves and would reflect the surroundings. I already know how to make mirror, glow materials, normal maps etc.

    Any ideas?

    Well, you could do something like this with multiple current levels with a real time tide effect and wind controlled top layer:

    The last few were written for the old UE3 version, but the idea is the same with the new version. Just the screens have changed. The final node setup is still pretty much the same.
