Geometry tools Wont work like in the Video

Oki heres the problem u all know the Green red blue arrow ? well when i press the edge of something to Expand it by draging the arrow. But the arrows does aint point in the direction i want them to. there like Nort-East and North-West and something more, But I want them to be straight like the one in the tutorial videos, i fixt this some how earlier in the tutorial but now i have the same problem again ? :S plz help
