    Quick question, is it possible to place a skeletal mesh in a level and pose it?

    Yes, you can set up an AnimTree for it and use SkelControls to modify bone rotations. and then assign that AnimTree to the SkeletalMeshActor in the level.

      If you just need a specific frame or loop one animation it's better to add a normal SkeletalMeshActor, then in its properties go to SkeletalMesh > SkeletalMeshComponent and add an AnimSet to the AnimSet Array. Then in Animation define your animation sequence and either set time or playing & looping.

        Hmm, I'll have to try both. I just want to pose a bunch of dead bodies around without creating unique anims/poses for each position. Thanks for the tips!
