Ferrik repliedIt's much easier to whitebox it in bsp. This allows you to quickly and easily build, test, and iterate. Once you're happy with the layout, you can decide which areas can remain bsp, which you want to make out of meshes, and what detail meshes you need. I would strongly recommend against making whole buildings out of single static meshes unless they're very small, simple, CoD style buildings. If one small part of a mesh is visible, the whole thing is rendered.

Jarro repliedI'm making the third person shooter too. At the first I tried to make the builds from 3dsMax, but then I understood, that it's a more difficult than just make some meshes (like pillars, lamps etc.), import to UDK tetures and make the materials and begin to do it only in UDK.(sorry for english)

I'm making a short esque Goldeneye shooter and what would be the best option for a single developer such as myself?
1. Level the whole thing out in 3DS Max and chop it up
2. Use CSG
3. Make tileable static meshesTags: None
