Turning Static Meshes into BSP Geometry?

    Hi!

    Thanking you in anticipation,

No it isn't but you can turn BSP in static meshes i'm guessing you wanted to do this because you can add materials on all the sides am I right?

My point was that if I'd be able to turn Statics into BSP's i would be able to apply a lathe modyfier to it and make curved roads quite easily...

i dont know how to do this in UDK, however if you still have the static mesh in a 3d package, export the mesh as .DXF, and goto the top of the UDK editor, in the top menu: brush: import, and it should be fine.

remember though, once you change it to a brush it will not be added or subtracted, it will turn the red builder into the shape and size of the static mesh. also, smoothing will be deleted and all of the newly created BSP will have sharp edges even if its a cylinder with 64 sides.

It would be much easier to just create a curved road in Max or Maya.
