I'm having trouble figuring out how to stop a terrain layer from painting the default texture. I've set a mesh in the foliage part and those are painting fine, but the default material is covering the terrain material that was there before. I can't add any more materials to the terrain piece either because I've already hit the texture sample limit(12) on terrains. I just need the grass to be painted, no materials.
I've also tried moving the foliage layers above the materials I've already painted but that does not solve the problem.
