Is there anything like a func_detail in UDK?

In Hammer it's easy to make geometry that doesn't mess with bsp. Just make it then convert to a func_detail. In UDK it looks like you have to turn it into a static mesh, which you then have to name and so on. More complicated. Is there a way to make simple geometry in UDK, like a func_detail, that you don't need to name?

Shouldn't really be relying on bsp any more, the engine is actually fastest now with mesh. But anyway, use semi-solid bsp. You can convert it's type in the context menu, or place it as such in the first place. If it still behaves as old, it shouldn't make additional cuts in your main surfaces.

Partitions are not used in this engine so the detail/structural stuff doesn't apply.
