How do you render the output of a camera to a texure/material?

i'm trying to figure out how to attach the camera output and apply it to an objects surface. i know render to texture is involved but i dont know what the process for UDK is to do this.

i'm aiming for a doorway/ portal between rooms. which displays the view of room in real time which can be traveled to.

many thanks. just the info i was looking for.

the UDK editor isn't very stable working with screencapter componets. UDK editor just keeps crashing with them at random. i'm using UDK-2010-03 version.

Same here... The editor usually crashes on my machine too. In my case, after creating an archetype of a ScreenCapture2DActor with target texture assigned, the editor's behavior is unpredictable afterward...

i've given up on it for now. spent 4 hours trying to get it work. the contsant crashing of the editor and it not working. has just put me off my idea for now. the documentation of it isn't a lot of help either.

i've just tried to get it working using the UE3 editor on my STEAM account version. that version just gives me different errors.
